Having A Ball

This write up is going to be a little different, it’s going to come straight from the heart.

I ain’t gonna lie, recently I have been struggling with some hard thoughts I’ve not been able to process them very well, I’m constantly wanting VIP to be the very best, I want our business to stand out, I’m a perfectionist and very hard on myself when I don’t think I’m doing a good enough job. We’ve had some less than helpful comments from other businesses that have stung me, I’ve taken them personally because we live, breathe, eat, sleep VIP and all we ever do is try our absolute best and encourage all other canine businesses. Donna thankfully is very encouraging and always manages to kick me up the arse when I’m putting myself down. The comments that have been made has really made me think *are we doing our best?* *could we be doing better?* *what can we do to stand out?*

I was hit square in the face with reality today, I looked around at our lovely pack of 11 and thought just look at them all, all having fun, all off lead without any distractions, no one to disturb their fun, no one telling us off for having off lead dogs, all socialising like pawfect dogs should, not having to lead the dogs up every 10 minutes because there was another dog approaching who was on lead! I do see it as doggy heaven, if they could talk I think they would also tell me that they were having fun, Oban definitely tells me every minute that he’s there.

I vow to stop over thinking about VIP but I will continue to strive for the very best every-single-bloody-day! That is a promise!
